Campervan Routes in Corsica

Free standing is prohibited across the whole of Corsica, with fines up to around 400 euros. Enforcement is strict, particularly at beaches, tourist spots and along the GR20. Unlike mainland France, Corsica has no network of motorhome aires: the few designated overnight spots are limited and usually lack facilities for emptying or filling tanks. Many municipalities also operate a general overnight parking ban for motorhomes.

Plan on campsites and book ahead in high season. In summer, strict fire-risk rules apply as well: parking near woodland can be forbidden and entire areas are closed when the risk is high. Finally, bear in mind that leaving paved roads with a larger front-wheel-drive motorhome is risky.
