450 motorhome pitches, 249 of them with electricity, season 27 April - 3 September. Laundry, wifi, playground, shop, sauna, a private shower or toilet for hire (80 SEK per day), sea swimming and adventure golf. About 15 min drive from the centre of Gothenburg.

    Fuel, gas & LPG

LPG autogas is scarce in Sweden; gas bottles go through the Swedish system and cannot be exchanged for German or Dutch ones - take enough with you.

    Watch out on arrival

You cannot pay cash in the terminals or on board: only Visa, Mastercard and Maestro are accepted. Sweden uses the krona, not the euro. Drive on the right as in Germany. The terminal sits on the Göta älv by the Älvsborgsbron; from the E6 follow the signs with the ferry symbol and turn off for Jaegerdorff after the Götatunnel.

    Practical tip

Check-in on the Swedish side is daily 14:00-17:45. Trams 3 and 9 stop at Chapmans Torg, five minutes' walk away.

    Border, documents & rules

Germany-Sweden is an EU and Schengen route: no passport control and no customs clearance, though ferry operators do ask for identification. Swedish alcohol rules: spirits are sold only through Systembolaget; importing for your own use from within the EU is unrestricted within the indicative quantities. There is no quota regime of the Norwegian kind.

    Motorhome tips

Cabin practically mandatory (overnight crossing); good entry point for western Sweden/Norway; gas closed on the vehicle deck. Alternative from Denmark: Stena Frederikshavn–Gothenburg (±3.5 hrs, several sailings per day).
